Andy's setting apart
Tuesday was a very eventful! In the evening, Jeremy and Chelane met up with us to go to Andy’s setting apart. Andy and Chelane took their last hug for 2 years. That was a very sweet moment for them. We then met with the Stake presidency and Bishop Rasmussen, Andy was set apart as a missionary.
Following his being set apart, we all went to Hu Hut for dinner. Elder Petty spent most of the late evening packing his bags. Dad even had to run to the store and purchase another HUGE suitcase because he has so much stuff! On Wednesday morning Elder Petty finished packing and Dad insisted on a photo with the packed bags. On the way out to the car, Pepper seemed to sense something was different and chased after him. Another heartfelt hug goodbye and we were off to brunch before dropping him off at the Provo Missionary Training Center.
Brunch was provided by Village Inn. What a stroke of luck! It’s Wednesday! Free Pie Day!
Saying “see ya in two years” is a hard thing to do. We will miss Elder Petty!
