Week 28 & 29

Wow everyone it has been a minute!! I am so busy it’s really tiring. Weeks 28 and 29 have been really amazing! Here’s a summary of some things we did!

A few weeks ago someone tries to break into our apartment! The cops showed up and it was a really crazy day! We still don’t know who it was though and thank goodness all of our windows and doors were locked!

Elder Cox has completed My Plan, which is something missionaries do when they are returning home so that they have some goals and plans set.

On the 29th, we had dinner with Hermana Norma and Jose Luis! Afterwards, Elder Cox and I were both doing something to serve her and Jose stood up and gave us the announcement that he is ready to get baptized! Jose has been coming to church and seeing the missionaries for years and years so we were so happy! Our goal for his baptism is the 21st of September!

I have been working a lot on an English class tool called “Aprenda Inglés Ahora!” It is a super great system to help missionaries advertise about English Classes that they teach. The Zone Leaders, Elder Cox and I have shared this tool with a lot of missionaries, and currently have locations using this system in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Deleware, Rhodes Island, California, Arizona, and even in Spain! So really exciting stuff!

We received a referral from Facebook! Her name is Mariluz and she requested a Book of Mormon from an ad she saw! We went over and we had the best experience with her. We explained that the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and shared that she should find out for herself if it is true! Her son, Jose is an inactive member that was baptized in Puerto Rico! In our next visit with Mariluz and Jose, we invited Mariluz to be baptized and she said yes! We will pray for her to receive health and strength to come to church three times so that we can help her receive a remission of her sins!

On Sunday, we had a missionary devotional in the ward! It was a lot of fun and we all learned something new. We have a ward party this turday and we are expecting a lot of people to come!

Last Monday we did not have P-Day, so we went to work as usual, and had huge success! After hanging about 6 English class flyers in local laundromat and cornerstones, our phone was ringing constantly with people asking about English Class! We also taught a lesson to some kids on the street about prayer, and wre blessed to meet Mercelino and her son Adán!

In my interview with President, he congratulated me on my work and asked me if I would train a new missionary!! So this Wednesday I will be a father! Hahaha I am really excited to train a new missionary and I am humbled to know that the Lord would trust me with that responsibility.

We had exchanges with Elders Rasmussen and Anderson and it was so great! I helped teach some of the most powerful lessons on my mission so far! Elder Anderson constantly was thanking me for all of the things I was teaching him. I love how humble he was and I respect him a lot for that.

On Friday, we went to the Temple with our recent convert Lilian! It was a super beautiful experience and I am so grateful for the peace and happiness we can find in these Holy Houses of the Lord.

Today, we went to Cape May! The very southern tip of New Jersey! It was a great trip and we got some cool photos there!

I have been really busy and tired, but I know that this is where I need to be right now. Serving the people here in Vineland has been a great privilege. I love you all so much and I am so grateful for your support. At the end of the night when I’m tired and my mind won’t stop going 1000 miles per hour, your prayers and love helps so much. I am so humbled to have such a strong support group and I hope you guys know how grateful I am. I pray for you every night. I’ll update you next week about my new trainee!! Love you guys!
